Daniel P. Seink

Founder and managing partner Daniel P. Seink is certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, which is the only certification accredited by the American Bar Association and the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Certification of Attorneys as Specialists. Mr. Seink devotes his practice primarily to those issues uniquely affecting the elderly, the disabled and their families.

Attorney Seink is the contributing Editor to the Elder Law Handbook published by the Ohio State Bar Association.  He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and serves as a Board Member of the Ohio Chapter of NAELA.  He is also a member the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section of the Ohio State Bar Association, and is a Sub-Committee Chair of the Elder Law Committee for the OSBA. Daniel volunteers as a speaker for the Alzheimer's Association and is a frequent lecturer to legal, financial, health and tax professionals.  An honors graduate of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, and John Carroll University, Mr. Seink also served for three years as a staff attorney for the State of Ohio Court of Appeals. 

Mr. Seink is accredited by The Department of Veterans Affairs to prepare, present and prosecute claims for veteran’s benefits.

Claudia B. Rose

Attorney Claudia Rose dedicates her practice to Elder Law and long-term care planning issues.  Ms. Rose has worked with older adults in hospital, nursing home and home care settings as a case worker for the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging and as a guardian for Cleveland's Volunteer Guardianship program. 

Ms. Rose is a graduate of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law where she served as an editor for the Journal of Law and Health, and holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University.

Benjamin B. de Forest

Attorney Benjamin B. de Forest has been an attorney for twenty-six years.  Before joining Daniel P. Seink Co., Ltd., Ben practiced with large estate planning and elder law firms in Akron and Canton.  His experience includes estate planning for both small and multi-million dollar estates encompassing gift and estate tax planning, charitable gift planning, trust administration, credit-shelter trusts, irrevocable insurance trusts, family limited partnerships, charitable trusts, personal residence trusts, and private and public foundations; complete probate administration, will contests, and declaratory judgment actions.  He has also drafted and adminstered pension and profit sharing plans, and served as a bank trust officer.  Over the past ten years, Attorney de Forest has focused primarily in the area of Elder Law and long-term care planning.

Mr. de Forest graduated from Ohio Northern University Law School and has been a licensed attorney in the state of Ohio since 1984, and has been a resident of northeast Ohio since 1983. Mr. de Forest is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Stark County Bar Association. He serves as a member of the Elder Law Committee for both the State and County Bar Associations. In addition, Mr. de Forest is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).

Randolph L. Knavel - Of Counsel

Attorney Randolph Knavel has focused his practice on estate planning and elder law issues for the past sixteen years. Attorney Knavel has a broad base of clients across Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula County where his practice encompasses wills and trusts, probate administration and trust settlement, Medicaid planning and tax and financial issues affecting senior citizens. Attorney Knavel has also worked for two previous law firms where his practice included wealth transfer and life insurance planning, resolution of federal tax disputes and qualified retirement plans for small businesses.

A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Toledo and 1994 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Law, Attorney Knavel is a member of the Lake County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section of the OSBA.  Randy resides in Concord Township, Ohio with his wife, Karen, and their two daughters.
